I Feel Like a Weight Has Been Lifted...For Now

So Boston won, that's all fine and dandy. They have 84 points with 4 games left. My Rangers who looked real sluggish in their first two periods against Florida, managed to put up 4 goals in the third for their second straight win, and getting possible 11 out of 12 points in their last six games. I really feel like they are getting contributions from all four lines, and they are working hard to get into the postseason. With four tough games left, I wouldnt be surprised if the Rangers dug deep and grabbed that 8th spot in the East. Let's Go Rangers!!! Peace.

It's Coming Down to a Footrace

So my Rangers have been doing decent lately, and tonight's game against Tampa Bay is a must win for them to have a shot at the postseason. With Montreal, Philly, Boston and Atlanta all losing in the last couple days, it leaves an opportunity for the Rangers. Whether they cash in on it, has yet to be seen. Hopefully, I will have some good news after tonight.

The Pacers are still on a respectable pace, not into the postseason, but good for next year. Peace.

What A Roller Coaster Ride

It's been a while since my last post and the Rangers are inching back into the playoff picture. With a convincing 5-0 win over the Islanders on Wednesday, and a 4-3 shootout win over the Devils, has the Rangers back in the mix, trailing Boston by 3 points. Either way, I am proud of the Rangers in fighting back after being MIA.

What about them Pacers, eh? Even though the playoffs are an afterthought, they are in postseason form, winning their last 5, and 6 of the last 7. Good things for next year, and hopefully Granger sticks around.

The Yankees continue to struggle in spring training, but that's no surprise. They'll be good in s few months or so. Peace.

Is it football season yet???

So the Rangers are an afterthought in the NHL. After losing to Boston 2-1 in regulation, the final nail is in the coffin. I hope the Ranger's coach Tortorella is looking for a new job. I hear the Oilers might be hiring.

On a high note, my pick of Kansas to win the Final Four has gone south. They lost to Northern Iowa on Saturday to completely screw up my bracket.

The Pacers have now won two in a row, and are showing signs of life for next season. The Yankees look so-so in spring training games, but I'm sure they'll have it clicking by opening day. Peace.

Are You F'n Serious???

OK so the Boston Bruins have done little to help the Rangers playoff hopes, but today they lost to the Penguins. Then the Rangers went and lost 4-3 to the lowly Blues. Every power play for the Rangers looked more like a penalty kill. I still think with 13 games left and 3 points behind Boston, the Rangers are out of luck.

My Beavers are out of their tourney and the Pacers are almost last place. Peace.

Any other team would win these games

OK So Lundqvist has another big night for the Rangers, but they still lose 3-1. The Rangers offense is terribly bad lately. Watching the Rangers play hockey is like watching two hippos going at it. It's horrendous but you still can't help but watch it. With 14 games left to play, I am OFFICIALLY pulling the plug on the Rangers.

The Pacers won a game, YAY!!!! Peace.

Maybe I spoke too soon

Just when it looked like the Rangers were in for a late season collapse, they have surprised me with a 5-2 win over Atlanta on Friday, and a 3-1 win over the Flyers earlier today. Avery responded to his benching Friday with a 2 goal performance today at the Garden. While they still have work to do, I have seen some bright spots for the boys in blue. Only time will tell.

And the Pacers and Beavers still suck. Peace.

Start Spreading the News....the Rangers are leaving the playoff picture

So what the hell happened? The Rangers actually made a compelling game with the New Jersey Devils....for a short while. They managed to answer the Devils goals 1,2,3. Then, after some bad deflections on their own goaltender, the Rangers lose 6-3. I guess I will be watching baseball earlier this season. It's like the Rangers think that with 15 games left and 4 points out of a playoff spot, they will miraculously get in. Peace.

The Official end of the New York Rangers

OK, so there are still games left and the Rangers could still potentially get a playoff spot. I'm not sure I want to watch them play anymore though. After extending another scoreless draught against Buffalo last night, I for sure thought the Rangers were sinking fast. Somehow Dubinksy put one home with less than two minutes in regulation to force overtime. I was thinking that the Rangers might actually win and get two points to stay on pace.....wrong!!! Not but two minutes into overtime, the Sabres got a fluke goal that left the Rangers stupified, an oh so familiar look. Peace.

Ohhhhh The Agony!!!!

I watched the Rangers Capitals game, and the Rangers didn't get on the board, with the Caps getting 2. Not much time for these Rangers to get it going to make the playoffs. At Least Ovechkin didn't score.

Pacers suck, Beavers suck, and that's all I'm in the mood for today. Peace.

Did Anyone see that Kobe Bryant Shot?

If you were living under a rock last night, you missed the questionable-but-effective shot by Kobe Bryant against the Charlotte Bobcats. It's a must see. My Pacers continue to dwell in the depths of NBA nothingness. Not quite as bad as the Nets that are about to break the 1972-73 Sixers record, for worst NBA team ever. Do you think moving the team to Brooklyn is going to help? Then you can have two crappy basketball teams in New York.

My Oregon State Beavers turned back Washington State 59-55 last night to get the Beavs to a respectable 14-15 record. These aren't the glory days when Gary Payton was around, but there seems to be improvement.

My Colts did a good thing in signing Gary Brackett to a big contract. Keeping a good core of interior lineman is crucial for them to get back to the big game. That and a solid running game which seems non-existant since Edgerrin James left them.

If anyone missed it Thursday night, the Rangers lost a heartbreaker to the Penguins 5-4 in OT. Ranger's Lundqvist made 50 saves and still lost the game. The Boys in Blue better get some offense going, or they'll be watching the playoffs with John Tortorella (head coach) from the unemployment line.

If anyone actually reads this crap, thanks I guess. Peace.

The first of many

Let's kick this off the right way, shall we? I made a Blog devoted to my sports teams. Not your teams, not your neighbor's teams, only my teams. I will post every day or close to it, about why my teams are the greatest, or why they should fold faster than the XFL. XFL is the Vince McMahon football experiment gone horribly wrong, and lasted all of one season.

Who are my teams, you ask? For football, it's none other than "there's-more-than-corn-in INDIANA-POLIS COLTS". For those of you that have been to Indiana, that would make sense to you. I chose this team solely because my family lives there. Not because they actually win games, or have the best QB of all time (Peyton "I like to choke in big game situations" Manning). I could have a million reasons to hate this team, but then again I could have a million reasons why I don't claim Sarah Palin as an Alaskan resident. I love this team through and through and dread when the NFL season comes to an end, and I have to settle for golf or whacked out sports.

Golf is great, but I would rather watch the Detroit Lions training camp instead of watching golf on a regular basis. I like to play golf, but watching other people play makes me want to punch my self in the junk.

Onto another team I hold so dear, and it's the NEW YORK RANGERS. The "Broadway Blueshirts," as they have been proclaimed. I have followd the Rangers ever since I can remember. I was starry-eyed when they won the cup in 94 behind Messier and Richter. I have watched in agony over the last 16 years when they haven't gotten close since. Year after year, I want to take Glen Sather (Rangers President/GM) to a curling game and watch him twist and turn in utter boredom. This is how I feel sometimes watching the boys in blue. Yesterday was the biggest trading day in NHL history. Who did the Rangers pick up? A useless defensemen, and another guy from Hockeytown's pond hockey team. Give me a break. Rangers are holding on to the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference playoff race and are about to be on life support. Granted they have been without superstar Marian Gaborik, they still could have used a shake up.

Enough about hockey, let's talk NBA. My team....the Indiana Pacers. Please don't laugh. Moving on....

The Beavers of Corvallis, otherwise known as the Oregon State Beavers, are the guys I follow in the Collegiate world of sports. They aren't great, they are good, and they are a few star players away from PAC 10 titles. Obama's brother in law Craig Robinson, has done a great job with the basketball program, and Mike Riley for the football studs. Although the basketball team won't make the big tourney this year, they did win the CBI last year. Yes it is a real tournament, and the Beavers won it the inaugural year. This is the Beavers only championship of any kind in basketball, and only the 2nd championship in OSU's men's sports history behind back-to-back College World Series baseball titles.

I love the New York Yankees, and not because of their 27 World Title wins. My grandpa brainwashed me at a young age, and I havent been the same since.

Well I have other mind numbing tasks to get to, so I will post again soon. Peace.
